Cole Brown-wins Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship
Submitted By Paul Burnett on Friday, June 8, 2018
Congrats to Cole Brown of Raider Midget team along with the other winners ..Announced in May, pictured above are the five recipients of the 2018 awards: Left to right: Brianna Wong( Durham West),Cole Brown (Raiders) Zachary Millar (Ajax Knights), Andrew Karaoulis Ajax Knights) and Nolan Keats(Pickering Panthers).

The Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship was established in September 2014 when Todd passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. In effort to honour his passion and desire for youth to embrace an extracurricular activity like hockey to build character and create friendships for a lifetime, while always recognizing the importance of education, the idea to create this scholarship fund was imagined. Available to a student graduating from a high school in Ajax or Pickering and entering their first year of a post secondary education program, this $1,000 scholarship requires participation in minor hockey within the Ajax/Pickering community for a minimum of 3 seasons and also encourages strong academic achievement, engagement in extracurricular activities and active involvement in the community.
