Raiders are playing host to the Novice OMHA AAA
Submitted By Paul Burnett on Friday, March 6, 2015
We are offering an opportunity for local businesses to become sponsors for the upcoming 2015 OMHA AAA Novice Championship. Your contributions will be targeting exclusively the players in an effort to make this event the most memorable experience in their young hockey lives. In addition to the excitement of a championship tournament, minor sports programs offer many benefits and opportunities for a large number of Ontario’s youth – fun, fellowship, leadership, sportsmanship, discipline, physical fitness and skill development – to list just a few.

Dear Local Business Owner,

For the first time in 12 years, your Ajax/Pickering Raiders are playing host to the OMHA AAA Championships, specifically the Novice division! From March 27-29, 2015, the entire Minor Hockey Community will descend upon Ajax and Pickering to enjoy some of the most exciting minor hockey in all of Ontario. Five of the provinces top novice aged teams will compete for the OMHA AAA Championship, an honour they will never forget.

I am writing this letter to garner your support and interest in providing sponsorship funding or donations for the OMHA AAA Championships as hosted by the 2006 Ajax-Pickering Novice AAA Raiders.

First, a little about Novice AAA hockey. The Novice age group is the youngest AAA playing cohort in the OMHA and is where many high caliber players get their hockey careers started. That said, the OMHA is a storied hockey organization and have been a member of many Ontario communities for many years. Annually the OMHA provides the opportunity for 1000’s of players (with the support of their families and friends) to play organized hockey. The association celebrates a long history of fielding competitive teams and developing great kids that enjoy success locally, regionally and internationally. Even more importantly, every year the organization, as a trusted member of the community, has a positive impact on the lives of young kids across Ontario and their families – all with the support of its generous sponsors.

This year’s OMHA AAA Novice Championship is being managed entirely by volunteers. Our primary revenue sources are registration fees paid by teams, family support and donations received from generous individuals and businesses. In order to make this rewarding experience a reality, we are reaching out directly to local businesses to offer the opportunity to help by becoming a team sponsor!

Ultimately, sponsoring local sports teams is an important part of community building. That said we think sponsorship should also be a mutually beneficial arrangement. For your contribution we are pleased to offer ways to generate substantial publicity for your investment. While any sponsorship level you select will be greatly appreciated, many sponsorship options/levels are available. That said, we have tried to suggest a few options for you to consider, please take a moment to review Appendix A – Sponsorship Options and select the sponsorship package that best fits your business interests and budget. If the options we have presented are not in keeping with your interest, we would be pleased to work with you to arrive at a mutually agreeable arrangement.

The 2006 Ajax-Pickering Raiders and OMHA look forward to the opportunity of having you as a Sponsor for the 2015 OMHA AAA Novice Championship and are committed to ensuring your support is a big part of making minor hockey successful in Ontario. Additionally, our families will support and/or recognize your business reciprocally throughout the remainder of this season and years to come, whenever possible.

In the event that your company is interested in providing monetary support, please make the cheques payable to the “2006 AP Raiders”. Please email company logos to [email protected]

On behalf of the OMHA, 2006 Ajax/Pickering AAA Raiders and all of the players and families, I thank you in advance for your consideration and generous support!

Yours truly,

John Clark
2006 Ajax-Pickering Novice AAA Raiders – Team Manager
Member of OMHA and 2015 Host Centre
